Application Marketplace

This capability enables organizations to simplify application discovery while maintaining administrative control over application visibility and access assignment.

In Cyolo, end users access applications through the Applications Portal. By default, users can only see and access applications for which they have been granted access.

Administrators can grant access to an application by assigning either individual users or user groups that contain the relevant users to the application’s access rule.

Marketplace Feature

The Marketplace feature allows administrators to expose applications to users without granting them immediate access.

When an application is published to the Marketplace:

Users can open the Self-Served Apps portal.

  • Users can browse and select the application they want to access.
  • Users provide a reason for requesting access to the application.
  • Once the request is submitted, the user is automatically assigned to the application.
  • An activity log entry is created, including the user-provided reason for requesting access.

Users assigned through the Marketplace are assigned at the application level, rather than to a specific application rule. As a result, the user can access the application only if at least one application rule is configured with the Identities assigned this app option enabled.
